Tyler is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, he was an Assistant Professor at Yale University. His work examines how states cooperate, bargain, and distribute power in international institutions. He is particularly interested in institutional overlap and competition in global governance, as well as the politics of non-compliance. You can find some of his work in International Organization, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of the American Statistical Association, and International Studies Quarterly.
