Dear Friends and Alumni,
On behalf of the Department of Political Science, it is my pleasure to send warm greetings and share with you an update on a tremendous year here at UNC. After serving as Chair for a little more than a year, I am happy to report that the department and its students, staff, and faculty are working harder than ever and reaching new heights.
This year we lived up to our goals to deepen the research experience for undergraduate and graduate students, to create and share high-impact research, and to recruit the very best faculty in the world. Within the pages of our annual newsletter you will find stories about the great research in which our students are engaged, the amazing careers they are enjoying once they graduate from our program, and the remarkable impact that our faculty are having on the national and global stages of politics. We also share a poignant tribute to our former colleague, Tom Carsey.
